The session will focus on rules that apply to professionals giving tax advice. It will cover the federal tax penalty regime and the defenses to that penalty. That coverage will include an examination of the weight of authority needed to avoid tax penalties and how to determine the weight of authority if various authorities appear to support different tax reporting positions.
